Small Group Ministry (SGM)
Every Sunday 6:00-8:00
Two of the five purposes of the church (yup, there are five!) that we try to especially focus on at VI is discipleship & fellowship. Discipleship simply means becoming more and more like Jesus, while fellowship is about “nurturing” each other, taking care of those around us (not just hanging out & eating food together!) While Wednesday is a night when we try to fish (remember, Jesus calls us to “fish” for people) with a big net, we use our Sunday night Small Group Ministry to do one-on-one discipleship and fish with the old “cane pole.” We have been gathering in homes to meet this ministry demand of “growing smaller through intimacy while growing larger in numbers.” More than 40 students are consistently involved in SGM, and we feel that VI is all the stronger because of that. Our ultimate goal is to get every student involved in a small group. Our thanks go out to the Tuthill family for so graciously opening their home each Sunday night for this past school year. We meet at 5475 William Henry Harrison Ln.
